Los 10 principios de Alan Rusbridger

Alan Rusbridger, Director de The Guardian ha enunciado hoy en Journalism 2020, que organiza Medienhaus Wien, estos 10 principios, sobre los que trabaja para convertir una redacción papelera en una redacción y punto. Rusbridger los ha expuesto como una serie de pasos incrementales en el proceso de transformación de The Guardian.

En una palabra: brillantísimo. Una redacción…

1. It encourages participation: invites and allows response

2. Has not an inert “us to them” focus of Publishing

3. It encourages others to start debate, publish material or make suggestions. We can lead or follow. We can involve others in the pre-publishing process.

4. It helps form communities of joint interest around issues, subjects or individuals.

5. It is open to the web an part of it. Links to and collaborates with other material on the web.

6. It aggregates and/or curates the work of others.

7. It recognizes that journalists are not the only source of authority, expertise and interest.

8. It aspires to achieve, and reflect, diversity as well as promoting shared values.

9. It accepts that publishing can be the beginning of the journalistic process rather than the end.

10. It is transparent and open to challenge, including correction, clarification and addition.
